Question
Many moons ago, when I was listing several auctions at once, I used Auction Submit. I really liked being able to preview my auctions offline, and the management tools were basic but all I needed. I dusted off the program this morning and was disappointed with some of the default settings that have not been updated and are not really ebay friendly anymore. So, I'm hunting for new auction software. I know many of you have recommended Auction Sage so I downloaded it but wasn't very happy with the program. Maybe I'm being a wuss but I really miss being able to preview the auctions offline. Also, I do most of this work on my laptop and I just can't see to read the words on the toolbars. The font is impossibly small. Yes, I know I could change my computer's font settings but I don't really want to change them just to be able to see the writing on one program. Anyone have any other recommendations for a listing and management software that allows you to preview offline?
Thanks in advance.
Answer
you might try sold! it also has a free trial period. I had to finally give up on it because it just kept messing with my win 98se system to the point of having to reinstall windows every time he did an update. I gave up and went to auction sage but prefer sold! if it would run http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_frown.gif
it previews your auction through IE.

vendio's off line is good...but I do not know what it will work like on your lap top, you really have to download them and test each one to make sure you can use it.

eBay's TurboLister?
Answer
Mr. Poster is free and you can preview offline.
Answer
Thanks! I will check out those suggestions. This is a project on which I'm working with someone else and it's important that the other person be able to see how the auction ad will look when it's posted.

I was also an Auction Submit lover, but had to switch when they weren't able to support all the ebay changes. Since I had a learning curve anyway, I figured it made the most sense to go with Turbolister. It stands to reason that they will get the program updated before third party programs do.
It's not a bad program (of course there's lots of things I can think to change), and I'm glad I made the decision.

I use Auction Sage and I make all my listings offline as well as preview off line.
I couldn't work with anything else.
Last week I has just relisted all my store items (1292 postcards) on Sunday when they announced the 10 cent day.
With one click of the mouse I ended the store listings, converted everything to FP and listed them as fixed price. Instead of 1 sale a day like I get in the store I have now sold over 200 items.
Answering the many emails, handling the FP payments all during the day, printing the mailing labels and printing daily reports of what has been shipped is all done quickly and easily with auction sage.
I'm not sure what part you didn't like. I had downloaded the program 5 months prior to starting to use it and probably wouldn't have done so then if Channel Advisor had not done what they did. But, once I spent a little time on the discussion board ironing out all the unknowns (don't we all hate learning something new?) then i just couldn't live without AS.
OK, I could live without it...but I sure would hate to LIST without it http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif
Answer
lindajean, are you serious? Auction Sage will let you end a bunch of store items at one time? Or even one at a time with just one click each?
I'm intrigued!!
Answer
Auctionsage will let you end anything and everything with one click.
You just go to the current listings, highlight those you want to end and click on end nowhttp://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_smile.gif
I literally ended 1292 store listings in 5 minutes (with one click...it took 5 minutes to process).
Then, I went to inventory, highlighted all the store items, clicked on convert format and changed all to FP with one click. Then, while still highlighted clicked on "post now".
It did take over an hour to post them using a cable modem, but they were up and running with very little time or work on my end.
When they end tonight I will be able to look at inventory, delete (actually export to a saved file for later use if needed) all those that sold, highlight the rest, convert back to store and post again with very little efforthttp://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_smile.gif
Anyone with a store should really check them out. It is amazingly simple. You can mass edit price too if you want to raise or lower starting price for store, fixed price and auction. I convert items back and forth all the time to be sure I am always running at least one item in each store category.
