Ebay live . . . is it worth going to?

Question
We're considering attending at this late date.
Is it worth the time/cost? All opinions welcome.
Where are you staying?
Thanks in advance.

Answer
This is not a late date. A late date is the day before. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif Last year, I decided to go on Monday before the eBay Live started on Thursday. I did learn to book earlier this year because my airline tickets were very expensive.
However, if you are flying, there is still time to get cheaper tickets - those with the 14 day advance.
There is so much to do at eBay Live that you won't be able to do everything. I learned very much and the camaraderie was awesome.
I'm staying at the Holiday Inn Select for three nights and the Embassy Suites for the last night. (Don't ask!) http://community.here.com/infopop/em.../icon_wink.gif
If you book through eBay, the Embassy Suites which are about $200/night are being offered at $139/night. I don't know if DOUA/AE has anymore rooms available from their block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Select or not. They are cheaper than the Embassy Suites.
But, there are other rates to be had throughout New Orleans. It just depends on how far you wish to be away from the Convention Center.
Jump onboard, you'll have a blast and hopefully learn something too.

Hi,
Just so you know the DOUA Block 'expired' (for the lack of a better word) so the rate and rooms are back at HIS mercy. http://community.here.com/infopop/em.../icon_wink.gif

Answer
we went last year and where planning to go this year but some other things have come up We will attend next year if possible
there is a lot to do and learn I was impressed by the number of peaple I talked to who had attended year one and where there for year two .
My advice would be to attend as many classes as possible and if there are two of you go to diffrent classes to maximize the exposure .
the way I see it the competion will be there and I want to know as much as they do .
ebay live board ...check it out

Answer
We went last year and are going again this year.
There is so much to take in, it's great. You learn things that you didn't even know existed. And, if you are interested in a certain section of eBay - say, Motors, or Stores, etc., they have separate sections set-up so you can talk to the eBay people / experts of each individual section.
And, hey, it's in New Orleans!

Answer
Not sure where you are coming from. My guess is that it will cost about $800 to $1000/person with fees, travel and hotel. It is a lot of fun. But I personally do not feel it is worth it. The stuff you learn will probably change by the time you get off the plane.
