Question
eBay announced release of new version of TurboLister.
Anyone try it yet.
Answer
I have downloaded and just looked at some old listings I am holding. I have not done any new ones or resubmitted any of the old ones.
There was one interesting thing I noticed that may be a concern. I was clicking on some of the sub-detail and when I clicked on the Shipping this is what happened --
I have all my auctions marked shipping as "not specified" as they are too variable to specify flat shipping and I put a chart in my auctions showing several shipping options to various zones. Anyway, when I clicked on the "change" button to see what it looked like eBay has the setting set to "Yes, provide flat costs to my buyers". I could hit cancel and go back to the listing without changing anything but if I wanted to hit OK, I then had to select the option for the "buyer to contact me later".
My point being that if I "don't" go in a change each one I am wondering that when I do resubmit the listing if it's going to get an error at upload because eBay has changed the setting and the additional needed information for that setting is not filled in. ??? If someone tries this out please let us know.
Thanks.
Answer
Well, I downloaded and did a prelim review. From what I can see, there is still no import or export of item specifics. Seems like no change at all regarding item specifics.
On the issue of the shipping, it does indicate not specified. This is the way all my listings are setup. When one click on the change button, it automatically turn on the flat costs to my buyers button. Will upload some store items later and see what actually does show up in the listings.

I've been using TurboLister for a few days since having trouble with SAPro & Item Specifics. So far, I like TL a lot! I'm still learning about what it can do. I like that I can make up folders to organize my listings by type and by status. Very handy.
Just yesterday I discovered that I can do batch changes to listings. That made me very happy, since I wanted to add gallery to all my listings for the Penny Pack sale.
According to some things I read on the eBay TL board, they're planning a bunch of improvements. I can't help wonder though - if they improve it much I bet it won't stay a free service!

How do you do batch change to listings within Turbolister? What fields can you change in batch mode?
Answer
When you're looking at your listings in the Inventory window, highlight the items you want to make changes to. Then go up to the tool bar and click on the teeny little pull-down arrow on the Edit button (on the right side of the button, very small!). A short pull-down menu offers 'Edit Item' or 'Edit Multiple Items'.
When you click on the 'Edit Multiple Items' selection, you get a new window that lets you make changes to some of the fields. Here are some of them:
Category (1 & 2); Store Category; Item Specifics (haven't tried this yet); Duration; Shipping Discount Info; Payment Methods; Listing Upgrades (handy during Penny Gallery days!)
** It will only let you Multiple Edit items that are of the same format (store, auction, etc) and in the same category area (eBay Motors, Mature Audiences)
I keep my videos in a separate folder from my books, etc, so I haven't tried to Multi-Edit stuff in different categories like Glass and Books together.
I found this completely by accident, by hitting the Edit button on the edge with my cursor. Nice feature, they should advertise it more!

Thanks! Never try clicking on that skinny bar before. Could have used it to edit that shipping selection and would have saved some time.

I think this is very new, like in the last couple of weeks.
