In mid-March, we will be making our normal changes to the category structure. As part of these changes, several current subcategories will be made into their own metacategories. For example, currently DVDs & Movies is a subcategory in the Entertainment metacategory. Once these category changes go into effect, DVDs & Movies will be its own metacategory (no longer under Entertainment), and will be available from the homepage (www.ebay.com).
The list of new metacategories is below:
CAMERAS & PHOTO
Cameras & Photo is currently located under Consumer Electronics.
CRAFTS
Crafts is currently located under Home.
DVDS & MOVIES
DVDs & Movies is currently located under Entertainment.
ENTERTAINMENT MEMORABILIA
Entertainment Memorabilia is currently located under Entertainment.
HEALTH & BEAUTY
Health & Beauty is currently located under Everything Else.
MUSIC
Music is currntly located under Entertainment.
SPORTING GOODS and FAN SHOP
Sporting Goods and Fan Shop are currently located under Sports. They will be combined into one category & elevated as described above.
SPORTS CARDS and MEMORABILIA
Sports Cards and Memorabilia are currently located under Sports. They will be combined into one category & elevated as described above.
VIDEO GAMES
Video Games is currently located under Entertainment.

Once they become a meta category, though, does this mean all the subcategories under them will be gone? Is this where they roll out the movies are either DVD or VHS, and music is either CD or Tape?
