Media Mail with DC

Question
How do you print the labels for Media Mail with the 13¢ DC on the usps site?
Do I have to be paying for the postage on the site also?
I can only find a place for Express and Priority.
I'm on hold with the Post Office but am betting I get an answer here first!

Answer
You have to download the Shipping Assistant program and print it off of your computer.
Then you pay for postage at the counter or via another mechanism.

Answer
LOL - let me know if you have any questions, I use this myself and its really a nice product.

Answer
Kat- You volunteered!! Here goes:
I printed all of my Media Mail labels.
Can I choose NOT to have DC? (to use for some of the first class)
Can I print labels for foreign places like, you know, Canada?
DC is free for Priority and 13¢ for Media right?
If I use these for first class, is it the full 40¢ (or whatever it is now).
I haven't tried this before because I hate the sound of my printer and I had this HUGE stack of adhesive labels (and I'm really faster at writing than typing) but this looks MUCH more professional--plus I like the 13¢ DC on Media!
TIA!!!

Answer
I use the DC on everything, 1st class included, still 13¢. The only thing with 1st class is that the envelope has to be at least 3/4" thick, most sellers get around this by adding a packing peanut or folded bubblewrap.

Answer
Arkay - OK I think I've got you covered
#1 - no, all labels will have either Delivery Confirmation or Signature Confirmation - you can't generate a shipping label without it. You CAN I believe change the output to print ONLY the DC barcode, but not the other way around.
#1a - in the Service Type field you can select PRiority Mail, MEdia Mail, First Class, or Express - and the label changes by class of mail.
#2 - No, you can look up rates but can't print international labels
#3 - Yes, free for Priority, 13 cents for Media Mail, First Class, Parcel Post
#4 - YOu can't use ones you've printed for Media Mail for First class, you need to print a fresh label for first class items...

Answer
I'm thinking I saw something like this on the Pay Pal site today as well. Ck for yourself as it may work. I do have shipping assistant dwnld though, but never use it.

Answer
Yes you can do labels similar to Shipping Assistant's via Paypal - and cover the postage at the same time.
Couple of key differences :
#1 THere is a 20 cent surcharge on first class & Media mail labels above postage & DC charges
#2 You can't pay for the postage with your Paypal Debit Card at the PO and get your 1.5% cashback bonus
