Suggestion: those who can read & not post or can post but not start topics

Question
There are some people who can read here but cannot post. If you're having that problem, try opening a thread and look for the Reply tab located at the bottom of the page. You have to open an ongoing thread in order to see the reply tab. There are two icons next to Reply, the left one is blue and the and right one yellow. The yellow icon is for making a QUICK REPLY and does not seem to be dependent on JavaScript. Try clicking that one and see if you can post.
Some folks have been able to post using that yellow Quick Reply icon but they cannot start new topics or edit their posts. Should we have an ongoing topic thread in each of the 3 main forums just so they can reply and ask for a topic to be started on their behalf? Whenever someone wanted to start a topic, they could bump up that thread and make the request including the words for the Title. Does anyone have any other ideas for topic posting?

Answer
Jim has a temporary work-around solution for those having problems posting new topics (or replying to topics):

Answer
I know this may seem redundant but some folks don't understand URL's. I checked out Jim's directions and I'm going to post a link for each forum which can be used to start a topic if you can't use the NEW tab. If you're having problems figuring out how to change the URL, just copy the alternate link for each forum listed. The directions below are just for folks who cannot use the NEW tab to start a topic.
The URL for starting a Topic will be different for each forum. You need to go to the forum you wish to use to start your topic and look at the URL in your address bar. This forum's URL is
http://community.here.com/eve/ubb.x?...84&f=200299906
If you can't use the NEW tab to start a topic, you can change the frm in the above URL to ptpc so the new URL for starting a topic in the eBay Auction Community, General Discussions forum will look like this:
http://community.here.com/eve/ubb.x?...84&f=200299906
To start a new topic in the eBay Auction Community, Business Discussions Forum you need to change the frm to ptpc in this URL http://community.here.com/eve/ubb.x?...4&f=8912999526 So the URL to start a new topic in the Business Forum is http://community.here.com/eve/ubb.x?...4&f=8912999526
To start a new topic in The Hot-Zone, Community Discussions Forum you need to change frm to ptpc in this URL http://community.here.com/eve/ubb.x?...84&f=987298894 so the URL to start a new topic in the Hot Zone is http://community.here.com/eve/ubb.x?...84&f=987298894
If you can't post a REPLY by using either the yellow Quick Reply arrow icon or the blue arrow icon you can do the following:
Open the thread you wish to reply to and change the URL showing in your address bar by replacing tpc with prply
For instance, THIS thread's URL is http://community.here.com/eve/ubb.x?...26&m=975106533 and if I want to post a reply to THIS thread, I would use this URL: http://community.here.com/eve/ubb.x?...26&m=975106533
Don't copy this URL to use because the URL to the REPLY box will be different for each thread but they will all include the tpc part. Just change tpc in each thread's URL to prply.
I'm sorry that the URL links aren't showing up well. Hopefully, Jim will change the link colors so they're are more visible. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_smile.gif

As soon as I have 2 seconds to breath, we're going to have to talk about getting you some 'extra' control (like the ability to post in FULL HTML, etc...)
Thank you!!
