Question
I launched some auctions last night. This morning I was reviewing them and noticed one of my pictures not showing up properly. The auction already has a bid, so I was going to do the "add to item description" thing and add the missing picture into the auction.
I used the link for "add to your item description", and I got as far as the "save changes" button. After that it kept telling me my auction already has a bid or only has 12 hours left to go. And it won't let me save those changes no matter what I do.
ARRRGGGHHHH!!!! From where I sit it looks to me like another case of "it wasn't broke before but now that they fixed it, it is"...but I thought I'd come here and ask in case I'm just doing something idiotic and there really is an obvious way to do this, but I'm just too confused at the moment to find it.
Thanks in advance for the help!
Answer
There is now a link appearing that says "revise your item again with some restrictions". I clicked it and tried that, and no luck there either, I'm still getting the same error message.
I am sick of ebay. I think I will spend today working on amazon listings.
Answer
It's been moved. Go to the listing, click "revise", ....."continue", and when the listing reappears, look down the right-hand side. In the line that says "title and description", way over to the right you'll see the 'add to description" link.
Drove me nuts last night until I found it.

Answer
OK, thanks, I'll try that. I appreciate it.
Answer
Nope. That link is absolutely NOT working for me. It will not allow me to add to my item description. My item DOES have a bid.
You guys mean to tell me None of you are experiencing this???? Packratsattic? (As many times as you added on to your coffin-man auction, I was hoping you would have figured this one out by now...http://community.here.com/infopop/em.../icon_wink.gif )
Answer
Lilac, I just tried that link and it worked OK for me. I assume you are scrolling down a ways on the revise page to the "add to descrition" link".
I'd go over to the ebay listing board with it, as an ebayer may notice it and have some info.
If not, at least you can vent there!

I had the same thing happen earlier this week. It had a bid, I wanted to add and there was more than 12 hours left. I'g get to the same point as you, then it wouldn't let me add. I've emailed ebay 3 times and I keep getting a canned answer.
Let us know if you find anything out.

Answer
Dave- thanks for trying. I do appreciate the response, honest! I guess I shoud also clarify. It's not that I get a broken link there- it isn't broken. It even gets as far as allowing me to type in my changes. It just doesn't accept the changes after I hit the "save changes" button. It gives me a baloney error message. Phooey! I am wondering if you were able to successfully add stuff to a description? I am trying to figure out why you can, and I can't. Maybe because I'm on a mac?
Sue- thanks for your response! I am not exactly happy to hear you had the same problem I did, but glad to know it's not just me. Are you on a Mac by any chance?
Answer
Yes, I regularly add. It saves the changes, and "submit" puts them in the listing OK. I'm not on a MAC. I really think you might get some help on the ebay listings board.
BTW, it is rare that I list an auction and then never have to change or add something. LOL.
