Question
If I deserve a neg I don't mind getting it, but the one I got yesterday is totally off-base. It's from a NARU 0 Feedback, and relates to a HALF.COM transaction:
YOUR S/H FOR CANADA IS TOO HIGH,IS THEIR ANY ALTERNATIVE
So me thinking that this is certainly grounds for removal since I have nothing to do with setting shipping prices for half.com sales goes about the process and gets back the canned email telling me the reasons a feedback can be removed:
Feedback Abuse, Withdrawl and Removal
Does this situation fit anywhere in there? I couldn't even use the form to send the information to ebay because it wouldn't take a half.com transaction number.
Auuuuggghghghghg! Do I just swallow this one and move on or is there a way to get this removed (that doesn't cost money.)

Write eBay again, and again and again until they hear you. The only reason I could see for removal is this one, with the caveat that a Naru'd bidder certainly doesn't intend to pay since they are no longer on eBay/half.com.
quote:
Feedback that meets any of the circumstances below is feedback abuse and may be subject to removal.

Answer
Sucks! Don't it? I got mine from a NPB no less. I FVF'd him and ebay wouldn't back it off. Go figure. He bids on 5 items ditches out and then negs me one. Thanks ebay for a lame system.
Answer
G'day Lynn,
In the mean time it is probably worth responding to the feedback that it is a Half.com Transaction, and shipping prices are determined by Half.com.
O feedback and naru'd, it is probably not likely to affect your business too much, although certainly you can continue to try to get it removed.
Good Luck, Kevin

I have a seperate half.com ID and I can't wait until half.com goes away. I got ONE half.com neg from a seller that I left a neg for because she never answered her e-mail and I finally had to get a refund from half.com directly.
eBay negs are infuriating. I joined SquareTrade because they're supposed to mediate or as their ads say..REMOVE negs. Don't believe it. They don't. I got my first neg after over 600 +'s from someone who never even bothered to ask for a refund. I refunded him anyway right after he left the neg. I bring the whole mess to SquareTrade and the bidder responds to them "I resolved this" and Square Trade closes the case and says 'sorry'.
Just happens AGAIN. Another bidder newbie (6+) negs me without ever writing to say anything was wrong. Now I'm 743+ to 2-
We'll see if mutual feedback withdrawal works on this one. I know the MAD feeling. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_smile.gif

I LIKE half.com and think it definitely has a place in the online world. I just wish that the feedback wasn't tied into my ebay feedback, because something like this one was completely out of my control.
When they first gave us the option of merging our half.com feedback with ebay feedback I declined, because there were a bunch of similar undeserving negs on half. If I would have merged I'd have well over 10,000 feedback already (whoopee), but I would also have those negs showing up.
Ebay said they'd 'look into the matter' regarding this feedback, and if they agreed that there were grounds to remove it, it would be gone in a week. Its been a week, so I guess they couldn't find a reason that matched. Doesn't much matter now - the feedback is far down on my list, but the damage is already done with auctions that closed all week.

They don't.

I am not a member of Square Trade, but I recently used them when I received a neg from someone who had been a member of eBay for two years with a "0" feedback ... says that this was her first purchase, but my gut feeling says that she's a seller (a maybe a competitor) from right here on here. I digress...
I used Square Trade and got the f/b removed just this week. During the negotiations, ST mentioned refunding and I went ahead an refunded before ST could get back to the other party; then Square Trade tells me that I had taken that negotiation off the table because they could not present it to the other party. I think you have to give the other party something to negotiate. I certainly did not wish to refund the person because of her trivial neg, but did just to get that darn thing gone.
I filed with ST on the 8th and endured many back and forth post until it was finally resolved with my last post on the 20th. Along with the email from ST that the f/b would be removed was a ST sales pitch. So, maybe they worked harder at removing my neg because they wanted me to join up.
