Question
If a registered Ebayer had more than one Ebay Id...say one for buying and 2 for selling, can they merge all 3 into one account ???? I had somebody toss this question at me, and I had no idea whatsoever about it and never even gave it any thought...

I know you can merge two IDs:

Once the two IDS are merged, there would only be two IDs and perhaps then those IDs could be merged. Not sure. You could e-mail the address shown on the page I linked to, and ask.

I don't really know why he wants to merge them, but I suspect that trying to keep up with 3 different accounts is getting tiresome. I have two and it wears me out sometimes. His fervor for ebaying seems to be waning a bit. I think it might be the winter doldrums with the yard sales being scarce and all. I don't really know, but that is what his discussions kind of indicate.

Unless he wants the feedback to total up, focus only on one account and just don't use the other 2. Never know when you may need to use the other accounts one day.

Good Point I myself will be letting one of my id's idle for a bit while I change tactics to try to spur more sales in one area of our inventory. I find too, that sometimes if you quit listing a certain hand crafted item, that some folks that watch your auctions tend to panic a bit if they think that they have "missed the boat". I have sold more things that are unlisted that way. Peeps sure are funny.

Hi,
I am getting ready to merge my original eBay ID into one of my other 2 (for pretty much that reason - streamlining), and can tell you this, which I did not know:
The "old" ID that you want merged into the new one has to be inactive (no bidding or listing) for 60 days before they will allow you to merge it.
So if he wants to merge two into one (don't see why ya can't) just have him let the two least-liked IDs sit idle for 2 months, then merge-away!
