Question
I know that this isn't the Paypal board, but I've been waiting for some answers from that board for a few days now and havent heard a peep...
I'd like to switch to a Merchant account. What are the pros/cons to doing so. I have a Premier account now with a PP Debit Card (which I love).
Also, I've noticed a lot of auctions recently saying that payment can be made from the ebay invoice only if payment is from a paypal balance. But if payment comes from CC they have to submit the payment through paypal differently. (I think I have this summarized correctly)
Also, luckily I've never had a problem with a chargeback, so I'm not too concerned about that issue.

Biggest draw back are fixed Monthly fees. Also currently 2.2% on Paypal is cheaper then I can find a decent Merchant account especially with American Express which on Paypal I don't pay any extra for but Mercahnt Accounts cahrge more for AMEX

How much is the monthly fee? I've looked everywhere on the Paypal site and can't seem to find it.

Kallie, I "think" the fixed Monthly fees they are talking about is for a merchant account, not PayPal. PayPal is a per transaction fee.
If that's not right I'm sure someone will correct this. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_smile.gif
