Question
Got one of the new "Message from eBay Member" emails that comes thru eBay's mail system.
Along side of the message (in this case, from a buyer of mine, but...) was a message from eBay:

quote:
Never respond to an unsolicited email that includes incentives to buy or sell an item off the eBay Marketplace. If you get such an email, please report it to eBay.

Including the link to snitch someone out.
So, now I'm being told to snitch out people that email me had say "If you have <insert simular item to something I have listed>, what do you want for it."
Fat chance. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif
(But the next time someone makes an insultingly low ball offer on an item that didn't sell.... http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif )
But sellers had better beware of sending off eBay offers thru eBay's system, eBay just made it simple to snitch on people.
Black holes suck.
Answer
Ah too bad you didn't post this last night microbes!
I had one of those lowball "sell it to me for this amount and that should also include shipping". The amount was so insultingly low, I even have to buy it for more!
Thanks for the heads up though.
Answer
i couldn't imagine someone reporting a perspective buyer, totally insane.
-well if the buyer was insulting or just a nut, then maybe, but then again thats half or customers. hmmmm

Barring very very unusual curcumstances, neither could I, but eBay seems to want us too. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...n_rolleyes.gif

Answer
Ebay is just trying to skeer people.
Besides I never use their mail system for offers. Instead I usually ask them for info like a web site or any other way to get in touch with them . I make offers when they respond, so it is direct.
