How to Promote Your eBay Store with Auction Listings.

Question
I believe it is generally agreed that it's important to promote your Store by using listings.
I'm trying to develop a pattern of listings for promotion and in my case for mostly new and restockable inventory. Of course, we also want the listing to sell but for this discussion I'm trying to focus on the promotion factors.
many would have a solution that works for them but because of differences in their product line it might not apply for everyone but I thought we might share and discuss some of our ideas.
Some possibilities are:
Each listing should have one or more live links to our Store and maybe to the specific category that parallels the auction item.
Each listing should promote the Store and some of the main product categories. It might also promote the existence of new items and specials.
We might suggest that the listed item and similar items can be purchased immediately from the Store and items can be combined for shipping savings.
Listings should be auctions rather than BIN to provide longer exposure.
Listings should be in a mix of categories to broaden exposure.
Closing times might be both each day of the week and at different times of the day to keep the Store in front of people and to be seen by people that browse/search at different times.
Upgrade options might be used to promote the Store through the listing, such as Featured Plus, that are not totally justified by the profit potential of the listing but might generate Store traffic and sales.
Again this thread is to explore how to use listings as advertisements to promote the Store.
Your thoughts?

Answer
Really emphasize the fact that you combine shipping for multiple wins. I think that's probably the biggest thing that helps me (well, that, and the fact that all my items are closely related). http://community.here.com/infopop/em.../icon_wink.gif
Use eBay's cross-merchandising feature that shows the "sneak peek" gallery in your listings.
I add the Gallery picture to all of my listings as well, even though it's a bit costly for my low-dollar things. I think the little pictures make a store that much more interesting to browse through, rather than just the little camera icons.

What everyone said!
combined shipping compells people to buy buy buy.

Answer
I was just reading about a service called MyStoreCredit which sounds like an interesting way to encourage repeat customers to both your auctions and your eBay store:
https://www.mystorecredit.com/index.php
There's also an Auctionbytes article about the company. Here's an excerpt:
The MyStoreCredit program sets up a credit account for each of your buyers. The buyers can then use this credit as cash the next time they win one of your auctions or buy something from your eBay Store. When you register your account, you'll set the store credit amount based on how much the buyer originally spent with you in the first transaction.

Answer
Hello everyone,
I've recently joined this site and already enjoying the benifit of doin' so.
I also use MyStoreCredit in my eBay store -QuiltsnBeyond for the benifit of my buyers and few of them have already used this service in their next purchase.
That apart, giving them surprise gifts with their item gives them an compelling ground for purchasing again from you.
It works for me.

Hi quilts! Nice to see you here!
Judging from the lovely comforter we bought last spring, I'm not surprised you have repeat business, with or without the store credit.
