Yeah, it's easy allright. Relatives and friends want you to sell something for them, and you have to explain that it's actually work to sell something, then pack and ship it. I think they believe it's nothing but a breeze. Yeah, I kick back with a Mint Julep and a fat cigar, and watch the money roll in while admiring my 1 carat diamond pinkie ring. The one that they are pushing in the orlando area is marketplacepro.com, and it is a clone of the old "TakeToAuction", as far as I can see.
That is, they have setup a fulfillment center with what I assume is all kinds of dreadful overpriced closeout junque. Then the starry eyed fortune seekers, fresh out of the seminar and paying god knows how much to enroll (their website doesn't say) will use their "state of the art software" to list items on ebay. Then MP drop-ships the items.

I found the website. Can I get sued for making fun of it and posting it here? (I'm gun shy after being threatened with legal action once before).
Anyway, on one page they say an estimated 400,000 people make their living selling on ebay. On another page the figure drops to 250,000. Whatever it is, its too many already.
I tried to do my own little seminar for my SIL. Tried to teach her how to do this ebay thing. She actually bought an expensive digital camera, sold a few items, got a few nice feedback, then gave up. She says she's clueless about what will sell and what will not, and how to go about getting what WILL sell. I guess I can't teach her that in an afternoon.
