Most Expensive Item I've ever Offered. Share some Marketing Knowledge Please ??

Question
Good Day and Thanks for Looking.
I have just started an Auction for the Highest Dollar item I have ever offered .
Its a very interesting item - quite rare and certainly different from the Normal stuff I sell.
It belongs to a Neighbor and Friend.
But ....i'm sort of in new territory here.
We plan to post several Auctions across the next while. (if Necessary , maybe a Buy it Now will snatch it up ! )
We are hoping generate some interest and perhaps dialogue with potential buyers.
This is the first Auction as a trial run.
I am hoping to run a corresponding ad in the LA Times and maybe Variety Newpaper with the Next one.

I would certainly appreciate anyone who might view the item and let me know if you have any other ideas for how to drive / draw traffic to our Auction.
This board is always full of Great ideas and Criticisms. The Collective knowledge shared on this board across time has been a great help to myself and many others.
Thanks again for taking the time to look.
MIKE

Answer
Is this spam? If it is, I want to say adios before Jim gets here.

Answer
I'm confused. I see no link to the item.

Answer
I'm from the old school
toss it on ebya and they will find it, but I don't think it applies anymore....
good luck

Answer
So Sorry --
I edited once trying to put the link in to my Auction Link and NOTHING showed up. I did something wrong
I have never spammed on this board in many posts across the last years.
Hey Comentary:
When you read my text, praising the help I have recieved and explaining my need, does that really look like spam ??
Honest Mistake - Really ...
Here is another try at the Link
If it does not appear just kill me quickly and get it over with
The Auction I tried to link to before
I really would appreciate some constructive ideas. I'd really like to do well for the elderly lady that owns the plots.

I have disabled my smiles (LOL)

Answer
I'm not sure I understand clearly (been sick, still on meds!) but it sounds like you're planning to run 'for sale' ads for the plots simultaneously with your eBay listing. What will you do if you get bids on eBay, pull the print ads? If someone who contacts you via your print ads offers you xxxxx amount, will you pull your eBay listing?
It seems like you might be in for some complications, but maybe I misunderstood?
(I won't mention what I think of paying that kind of money for a hole in the ground. I'll just say that my Down East pursestrings are aching at the very thought!)

Answer
I'd probably make it a private auction. People who would pay 1/2 million dollars for two burial spots probably wouldn't want others to know. But, that's just my opinion.

And, if I mentioned Escrow, I'd definitely mention the eBay sanctioned Escrow only.

Answer
Hi again.
I was just looking around on eBay for plots, and it doesn't look like there has been anything sold that was remotely close to the value of the ones you're trying to sell. Maybe these would be better at Christie's or Sothby's? If the starting bid & BIN amounts are even in the ballpark, I think you would be much better off going through one of the big houses than the DIY mode. JMHO!
Elizdale has a good point about making it a Private auction, and about Escrow.
Whew, that's a lot of nickels!

Answer
If I were in the position to buy such plots (I'm not) I would want to know who is on either side.

Answer
i'd just run the ads with the ebay number in them, let them bid on it.
send out a press release to some local papers....FAST!!
Nice ad BTW!!
what is the FVF's on this or is it classified as real estate?
Editted to add:
I just looked at your category
wouldn't it be alot cheaper to list it under real estate....no FVf's
