Question
I just read my AuctionBytes report and Ebays at it again. Don't know if this change is good or bad. I am not impressed with item specifics and now the Pre-filled Item Information feature is on its way!

Faqs-Pre-filled Item Information feature
From the announcement board:
***Launching: Pre-filled Item Information***
Date: 10/10/03 Time: 10:43:36 AM PDT
As previously announced, eBay is launching a new feature called Pre-filled Item Information that will be available in many subcategories of Books, Movies, Music, and Video Games.
Pre-filled Item Information makes listing in these categories easier by allowing sellers to use ISBN and UPC codes, as well as keywords, to pull up stock listing information on these items. Sellers can then select content, including stock photos, item descriptions, and supplemental information (like song lists, film descriptions, etc.) that is added to listings automatically. To view our previous announcement about this feature, please click here.
We will be rolling out this feature one category at a time in the following order: Video Games, Movies, Music, and Books. This process could take up to two weeks, so it is possible that members could see the feature in one category several days before another category is rolled out.
For more details about Pre-Filled Item Information, please see our Information page or the FAQs.
Regards, eBay

Answer
Oh yeah, stock photos and descriptions! Yep, watch the amount of dissatisfied buyers go through the roof, when sellers start showing pictures of items that are NEW, and not in the slightly used to very used condition most will be selling. This is going to be one mightly abused "feature" I predict!
Answer
If I understand it correctly, even though it's pre-filled info, you can always change it to your specifics. You don't have to use what they supply.
