eBay's image problem

Question
There are currently two threads on the first page here about an eBay transaction (or potential transaction) where the buyer appears to suspect something is wrong.

Now, in no uncertain terms, I want to state that I am not criticizing the original posters in either of those threads.
My comment is to the issue of buyers finding themselves in the position of being suspicious of a seller they are dealing with just about from the get-go.
When people who are experienced eBay users start out expecting problems right off the bat, how much worse must it be for new eBay users? And how much does this impact the ability of all sellers on eBay to attract potential customers and encourage them to participate by making a bid?

Answer
I don't believe that in either instance noted the buyer was "...being suspicious of a seller they are dealing with just about from the get-go."
One issue was one of packing; the other was an objection to the way a question was responded to.
I think this is a bit dramatic to be considering this "eBay's Image Problem".
I deal with a lot of bidders who have zero or very low feedback. I make it my goal to treat them well so that their experiences on eBay are positive. I'm sure that a great many other sellers do the same.
I also think that whenever there are various problems they get a lot more attention than the transactions that are satisfactorily completed by both parties. Nothing new there. In both instances noted though, I fail to see what eBay can do about the issues noted. One seems to be related to the packing of the item and the other with the means in which a response to a question was communicated.
