Question
Received this unusual "ask seller a question" email a few minutes ago concerning one of my auctions....
"Would you like me to just bid but not pay? and we just exchange feedback?"
They have a low but positive feedback rating so I'm thinking they're just wanting to build up their rating. Hit me out of thin air and I'm stiil trying to figure it out.
I checked their auctions and they only have one on just now but it's about as strange as their email!
I'm not going to do it but wanted to see what some of you here experts with lots of experience thought of this.

Edited to say I checked their feedback and have added them to my blocked bidder list till I decide different..
Answer
I would ignore the email and block bidder as you have already done. Wonder why they picked your ID to email?
Answer
I'd ignore the email, block the bidder and forward the email with all headers to ebay for falsifying feedback.

http://community.here.com/infopop/em...n_rolleyes.gif Kind of looks like somebody bought one of those"Get RICH easily on eBay" kits off the middle of the night infomercials. http://community.here.com/infopop/em...s/icon_eek.gif
At least THIS ONE doesn't have 2500 keywords embedded into the pre-packaged description they sold them to use.
Obviously SELLING & BUYING feedback.....be interesting to see how quick it gets handled??? http://community.here.com/infopop/em.../icon_wink.gif

I see they are a great ad for Paypal, NOT!

Answer
Toystover I don't know why they chose my auction. Maybe because it's an unusual one for me. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2393552504&category=28 172&sspagename=STRK%3AMESSE%3AIT&rd=1 (It worked on one a year ago but not so far this time.)
Buying/selling feedback is new to me Cassie. I wasn't aware it was going on. Hate to get anyone in trouble. If it's a bad thing for the auction comunity I suppose I ought to do as you say.
Their one negative feedback poster said the seller was sending harassing email. I may block his email as well if I receive any more.
So that's whats in those infomercial kits huh? I always figured they were just CD's with lists of wholesalers. I'll hold off ordering mine for a while. (A long while!) Thanks Packrat!

Answer
Look at the FB they've left for others. Notice the one near the bottom of the page and the similar user name. That ID is naru.
They left like 56 fb comments on one day, the day the "blitzedxblah" user registered.
Really, if you are going to create multiple ID's for the purpose of padding FB, at least make them completely different. "blahxblitzed"
I'm sure it's a coincedence that both ID's have "blah" and "blitzed" in them.

I got a message from an old customer on my answering machine. He wanted a couple more of the items he purchased several months ago. He offered to purchase at my "buy it now price" of $99. (That was actually the minimum bid, going price was around $150.)
Anyway, the next day an Internet marketing kit arrives by priority mail. "Internet Marketing Gurus show you how web sales are like printing your own money, etc." It contains a large binder of reading materials and around a dozen audio tapes. According to the preprinted accompanying letter, I can choose to return the materials or else he will start billing me.
I never asked for this stuff and I'm ready to throw it in the trash unless he wants to pay for return postage.
