Last time it was the 1and1.com deal - enjoying the free bandwidth as we speak. Now I see - Vendio is on a similar offer. Has anyone tried it yet?

I don't think you have to be an established Vendio customer. It appears to be open to everyone.
What's interesting is that their web hosting under extended time period plans will be cheaper than their stand-alone image hosting. I would think this is more attractive than their $12.95 per month fee for unlimited image hosting. That is, if 750 MG will suffice.

750MG is quite a bit space of image to work with. We have several thousand products each with three images per product usually. The resolution is only 300x300 so the file size is relatively small (30-50Kb). The advantage with the Vendio image hosting is that you get the cool layouts and "enlarge" image feature which I'm not sure you could do with your own web hosting.
Anyway, I signed up so I'll tell you what the "gotchas" are. Vendio is supposed to send an e-mail in a few days...
