Need opinions ebay checkout/paypal

Question
I don't like ebay's checkout, but if I want to list paypal as an payment option checkout is automatically enabled.
The payment options section stands out more with the new auction format.
I'm torn over which is more important.
Avoiding ebay's impersonal, confusing checkout system or including paypal in the payment option section.
Any opinions appreciated.

Answer
I've gotta say as a buyer, I really do like checkout for paying via paypal. I don't find it confusing at all, and if for some strange reason in a particular transaction it WAS confusing, I am perfectly capable of going to the paypal site and just paying the seller directly.
I agree that checkout was a mess before ebay bought paypal, but now I think it's pretty well integrated and certainly no more difficult than using a checkout at any online store. The only time I feel it is confusing is when the seller doesn't put in a shipping cost, or offer optional insurance. If the seller supplies both, it's easy as pie.

Answer
I've had a lot more buyers pay before I can even send them notices through paypal and checkout. I like it, it saves me time sending the inital email out to them, and people just want to pay then and get it over with and go on to something else in their busy lives.

Answer
i enabled Checkout this year, and put a notice in my Payment instructions that people comfortable can use it, but that I would still contact everyone personally as well. And a note to NOT pay via Paypal until I contact ou if you have multiple wins or are planning on bidding on an item not yet ended.
It certainly has cut down on my workload, while still allowing me to maintain the personal touch.
I have a stock email for Quick payers (thank you; payment received, please double check your addy info below to make sure it is accurate...) and an email for those who use it to send their address... (thank you; addy received, please double check, your total is...)
I finally decided, after a polite email complaining about the extra emails and time delay by NOT having it enabled, that perhaps there were a fair amount of people who prefer the Instant Pay.
