Question
Awhile back I remember that if I sold an item and relisted through the link on the item page, that if the item didn't sell the second time when I went to relist it, I didn't qualify for the refund if it sold the second time. Does that still go on?

Well, what I typed confused ME.
So, I'm still confusing myself.
Trying again.
1)Your freshly listed item doesn't sell; you relist and it sells, you get the second listing fee refunded.
2)Your item sold; you use the relist link and this time it doesn't sell. Your relist wouldn't qualify for the listing fee refund.
Answer
sooooo...to confuse us all......LOL......they have changed this? This happened quite a long time ago so I didn't know if it was still happening. I have been doing an entirely new listing when I have more than one of an item.
1. I sell item
2. I use the relist on ended auction page to sell another of same item
3. Item doesn't sell
4. Relist from item not sold page
5. Item sells .... so I should get a refund...and this is how it is working now?
Answer
Yes, it still works that way. They cheat you out of a free relist if it doesn't sell the 3rd time.
I take the time to create a new listing and this will assure that if it doesn't sell I can re-list it free.
Another way FleeceBay steals money from you without making it clear that you loose the 2nd relist option if you click on the so convenient relist link.
Answer
What if your original listing doesn't sell, the relist doesn't sell, the relist from that one does sell?
No credit, right?
This has always confused me....

And so if I relist that third one (when it didn't sell0 and it does sell (the fourth time out) I don't get a credit.
So instead for relisting to get the third listing, I should start with a 'new' listing so I can be eligible for credit of the 'fourth' one, should it be needed????

Answer
I think the moral of this thread is:
DON'T Relist an identical item from an auction that has sold.

Answer
You get one free relisting for the same item for one original new listing.
Original listing:
If it sells the listing fee is paid.
If it doesn't sell listing fee is paid.
Second relist of same item:
If it sells the listing fee is refunded.
If it doesn't sell listing fee is paid.
Third relist of same item:
If it sells the listing fee is paid.
If it doesn't sell listing fee is paid.
Fourth relist of same item:
If it sells the listing fee is paid.
If it doesn't sell listing fee is paid.
I always enter the ad as a new listing the 3dr time. This way I can get a free relist if it doesn't sell.
Answer
is that every even # relist is refunded if it sells.
If it sells the listing fee is refunded.
If it doesn't sell listing fee is paid.
This cycle assumes it never sells along the way, and you keep relisting from the previously relisted item, not going back to listing #1 to relist each time.
When you relist an item that sells that resets the "count" to as if it was an Original Listing.
This also assumes the item is eligible for the item relist free credit (i.e. not a dutch auction)
