Bidder keeps retracting all placed bids with different sellers???...I'm stumped

Question
I don't know why this bidder keeps retracting bids.
bidder in question...
He has no feedback, and when he bid on my auction, he had 6 retractions, when he retracted his bid from me, he had 8, now he has 10.
Could this guy really be this confused?
He put the reason for the retraction was because he bid the wrong amount.
Does anyone know what advantage he gains by doing this?

Answer
I have not a clue--except maybe he is a clueless little weirdo who can't commit?
I assume he's not selling anything?
It looks like he joined up Aug 9th--he's either a complete newby and does not know he should avoid retracting at all costs... or he is clueless.
In any event, I've blocked him to be on the "in case" side.

Answer
Wait a minute--if I don't have a clue, does that make ME a clueless weirdo?

Oh, I forgot to mention that he retracted his bid after he had already been outbid, but the auction dosen't close until Saturday http://community.here.com/infopop/em...n_confused.gif http://community.here.com/infopop/em...n_confused.gif
I noticed on his bidding that he has one bid that he is still the high bidder.
I didn't know what he was up too, and didn't know of any advantage to his actions.
He sure knows how to retract a bid though http://community.here.com/infopop/em...on_biggrin.gif
If anyone else has a clue, let me know. I did put a block on him just in case, but I'd hate to block someone just because they don't know what they're doing.

Answer
Believe it or not, I have encountered people who, once they are not the nigh bidder, retract their bid. I am not sure whether they think it is the gentlemanly thing to do or they are taking their ball and going home.
Report him to eBay. He might need a gentle lesson on auctions.

Could he possibly be 'bid shielding'?
