The Virginia Tech killer went to eBay to buy ammunition clips for one of the types of guns he used in the rampage, a spokesman for the auction site confirmed Saturday.
Using the handle Blazers5505, Seung-Hui Cho bought two 10-round magazines for the Walther P22 — one of two handguns used in the massacre of 32 people. The clips were bought March 22 from a gun shop in Idaho.
"It's apparent that he purchased the empty magazine clips," eBay spokesman Hani Durzy said. "They're similar to what could be purchased in any sporting goods store around the country."
Cho also sold several books with violent themes, tickets to Hokies football games, and a graphics calculator that contained several games.
"The calculator was used for less than one semester then I dropped the class," he wrote.
Cho's eBay rating was superb — 98.5 percent. Only one person gave him a negative rating. The site says the person has had an account since January 2004.
Computer forensics have played a major role in the investigation into why Cho carried out the massacre that killed 32 people and himself. Authorities are examining the personal computers found in his dorm room, and are seeking his cell phone records. I didn't think you could sell gun related stuff on ebay. And 98.5 percent is not "superb". Ebay has suspended his account now. And don't try mentioning this info on the boards or you get pink slapped and your post pulled.

Answer

And some clip attachment thingies. There's a big red warning every time you submit the auction - "firearms are not allowed bla-bla-bla" but it still goes through.

Well, see how fast he became NARU'd.
And look at the Q&A's on the below auction. I didn't think you could use foul language on eBay either. This seller started and ended the auction in less than a day.

Answer
It was an empty clip he bought on ebay and I don't see why it matters where he bought it.............he bought it and used it. Are they trying to make ebay look bad.

Answer
Was it the actual ammo he bought on Ebay? Or something else? They even printed the killer's Ebay user ID in one article CNN had online.
My mother (not exactly famous for her exactness, among other things) has been reminding me almost continously that the shooter bought his ammo on Ebay, like I was somehow tainted by it, took part in it, sold him the ammo or something. I keep telling her its not legal to buy ammo on Ebay, but she won't leave it alone -- although why a card carrying member of the NRA has a problem with it, doesn't make much sense to me.
(Apparently, I need to be maternally reprimanded for not only what I do and don't do, think and don't think, what she thinks I have or have not done, what she imagines I have or have not thought, what I am only tangentially related to, and everything else that has absolutely nothing to do with me, other than I'm in the same universe it happened in.)
Gee, I'm feeling more than a little henpecked this week, aren't I?!?! Guess I need to do a little illegal shopping on Ebay...

Answer
It was an empty clip. Ebay pulled his account so you can't see it now but earlier you could and it was empty.

Answer
Ask her if he had bought it in the town you live in would it have been your fault?
It doesn't matter where he legally bought it(although with his mental history that is a whole other issue as to why he could have a gun at all)-all that matters is what he did with it.

She's about as in touch with reality as that particular nutcase was, fortunately, she's just nuts, not dangerous nuts. Well, unless one's voting history qualifies one as dangerous nuts.
