Question
There's a rumor circling the ebay discussion boards that the Me page is being retired and the My World page is taking its place. Just now, when I clicked on two of my bidder's feedback links, it took me to their MW pages.
I hope it's not true. You cannot really edit or customize the MW page very much - you have a choice of showing your FB 2-20 - you can't set it to 0 - I have mine edited out on my Me page. You can show your listings in only three configurations, and there are only two basic layouts (for the whole page) to choose from.
Then they say ebay will (!!) help you create a blog, you can show a profile, create Reviews and Guides or add your "favorites" (searches, sellers and stores).
I much prefer the regular me pages.
Answer
No big problem. I'll upload my existing eBay About Me page to my website and put links to in all my emails. I actually get a percentage of my eBay business as referrals from my current About Me page so it could translate to reduced sales for eBay if they drop them. On my current About Me page I list forthcoming items that I'm going to list and also ask for requests from buyers looking for special items.
Answer
They probably will get rid of them because that's the one page where you can actually include a link to an offsite webpage, which they don't like, so its probably going bye bye...

Exactly, that's the first thing I though too!
But somehow I think that might be taking their "venue control" too far, and really po a lot of people. I mean really PO people.
