I had an email asking if I would ship to Japan.
The listing has a bid. I tried to edit to add Japan. Can't do it.
(I ran into this problem when I wanted to add Canada too)
Listings without bids it looks like I can edit.
I wonder why ebay won't let me add a country to an auction with a bid?
It's not like I'm changing the shipping charges or the description.

After an item has a bid there is very very little that can be even added to much less changed.

I'm even getting errors trying to add the Gallery feature on an item with a bid in.
I gave up, so ebay will just not be getting the .35 on those already "hot items".

doobeedog, you can't add countries after a bid has been placed. What you can do for the customer in Japan (and I'm assuming you have the auction set to block bidders in countries you don't ship to, yes?) is tell them how much shipping to Japan will be by responding to their query, then add them to the list of approved bidders. This will get you round the blockage, and they can bid on your item, if they want to.
