Paypal must have lost me..........

Question
I sold some items and the buyers used paypal and nothing is showing up in my paypal account. They used the right email address and paypal tells them I am unregistered. I used paypal to pay for an item the other day with no problems.
Guess I will have to call them to find out what is going on.
Anyone else have this happen?

Answer
I know people who claim to have paid say things like this, and buyers who try to "spoof" the seller claim it. Ask paypal.

Answer
Quite a while back I had a buyer say she paid. It never did show up on my end.
She had a receipt that she paid etc. It was a very small amount so I sent her package. I never did get it figured out.
Is this a new ebayer?

Answer
I never thought of that but there are two of them who paid and nothing is showing up. Even the auction say's they used paypal. I hate calling and getting put on hold all the time.

Answer
At one time folks were accidently putting a period at the end of an ID and it wouldn't pick up but I "think" they put a fix in to disregard the period. But it may be something similar. Does seem strange that there would be two, however, that made the same mistake. Also, if they clicked on the PayNow button it should be correct, especially if MyeBay is showing that the payment was received, unless something was out of whack between the eBay listing and PayPal.
If you haven't already done so if the auction is showing that a payment was made through PayPal, then click (in the auction) on the View PayPal payment link and see where it goes.

Answer
I clicked on the link in the auction and they are going to my account or at least my email address is the right one. Don't know where the money is going.

It is about backdoor hijacking in Ebay, and should be read with a grain of salt.... but the last paragraph says:
The scammers who have purchased, or otherwise acquired the Vladuz access programs, appear to be able to manipulate the account information of every registered user ID on ebaY. They can monitor in real time what is happening in an account, read email sent through ebaY's system and respond to it through ebaY's system, change any parameter in the user ID account, so, for example, they can receive the PayPal payments the legitimate account holder would have otherwise received. They can add or remove information on a currently running listing without the legitimate account holder knowing it, and conduct business as they please; using all the hijacked accounts they please. No password access is needed. In the article ebay Insider Hijack Scam? we theorized that this was being done by an ebaY insider, as that was the only thing that could explain what we were observing. What we did not realize, and what even TAG found hard to believe, was that the scammers now had insider access, not by working for ebaY, but by using the program built by Vladuz. If your payments still haven't come through raise it with LiveHelp immediately.
Good Luck, Kevin
