Feedback left for an auction showing no bids

Question
I saw this while checking a competitor's feedback and it's got my brain in a twist. Anyone know what would result in this being possible?

Answer
Without a link, my best guess would be a BIN or store item.

Answer
It was a 7 day auction for a single item with a starting bid and a higher BIN.
Do BINs show as unsold with no bidders in eBay's completed items?

Answer
No, they show as sold with 1 bidder. I believe the wording is something like "item purchased with BIN" or something lol.

Do BINs show as unsold with no bidders in eBay's completed items? A seller's completed items list will say "see buyers" whether there were any (buyers) or not. You have to click on that to see if any actually sold.
But I still don't see how what you describe could happen, unless maybe in a "best offer" situation. I don't have one of those I can look at from either a buyer or seller search.

Can you furnish a better clue, like an item #?

Answer
I don't want to link the auction. I know the guy and don't want to deal with it if someone decides to say "OMG HI!" He is taking the risk of listing some expensive items that we both sell in our respective galleries and so I have a keen interest in watching if he does well or not.
Here's a screen capture of part of the item ended page.

Answer
How do you know there was a bidder? ETA-never mind, you answered that in your first post, duh!
ETA-wouldn't it take away the bidder if they did a mutally agreed or a return thing? And wouldn't it leave the feedback?

Answer
As a rule you can't leave feedback unless there was a sale so the item must have sold. You could always use a spare eBay ID and ask the buyer the details. Tell them you are a few collector and were interested in the item too.
Even if it was a Second Chance offer - eBay always generates a new listing number for them.

Answer
It's not supposed to happen.

Answer
Suppose it sold, feedback was left-then for some reason the buyer/seller decided to do a mutually agree to cancel or returned for refund-would the feedback still be there? And the closed auction might show as no bidder?
Other than that I'd have no idea. ebay glitch?
