Ebay not allowing to edit where you ship?

Question
I have been trying to edit a listing because ebay changed my listings to show United States only instead of world wide like I usually do and I have a buyer in the UK wanting to purchase from me. Ebay is not allowing the buyer to bid nor does it even show an option anymore to edit where I ship to under revise listing. It wouldn't even let me change that when I tried to relist.

If it's the last 12 hours of the listing you can't change anything. You can add the buyers name to the "approved" list which should override the other "block" options.
Read about "Adding to Buyer Exemption" list close to bottom of this page.

Answer
It's not within the last 12 hours though. It's got over 6 days to go. And it wouldn't allow me to edit it when I was relisting it either, so I was hoping I would get to edit it after it was relisted. There is absolutely no option to edit the ship to locations. And the whole relist page was different when I relisted too. Ebay changed something again, because I edited another item last night and was able to change the ship to, but now the option has disappeared.

You can add the buyers name to the "approved" list which should override the other "block" options. It says as of Jan 07 there's a time restriction but I can't find the time.
I had a Canadian bidder who wanted to bid and I couldn't change my listing.
I'm thinking this might have worked.

Answer
Since ebay evidently wants to restrict your selling, sell it off ebay

Answer
Yeah, I probably will, MGC. I have had to do that twice in the past week because of this. Even when I try to list an item from scratch, ebay refuses to allow me to select the countries to which to sell. So off ebay transaction #3 coming right up!

Answer
I had several items that sold without ebay fees the other day. Once you have the party interested, just send a paypal invoice requesting money. Fill in the form with a light version of description, and same item title written the same way, and buyers seem to not mind. Or accept payment in the mail.
Goods (other)
works for me.

Odd. I had a very heavy item up yesterday, so I only offered it in the USA. A Canadian buyer asked if they could bid, I said okay, and they bid and won the piece. (They bid at the beginning, middle and end of the 7 day duration.) I didn't revise anything, but all their bids went through fine.
Could it be some kind of glitch?

Answer
Last week I had a similar problem with editing auctions. I found that I had different options in the revise mode if I clicked on "revise my auction" from "My Ebay" list OR from within the top portion of the auction itself. I was able to modify everything I needed if I chose "revise" from within the auction window.
hope that works for you, too.
but of course, ymmv

You didn't have your options automatically set to block bidders from countries you don't ship to. I have my account set that way... ;D
