traffic (and sales) were way down yesterday, even worse today, and I have twice as many listings due to the 20 cent promotion. I know much of my sales are either East Coast or in the South and Texas, so I think with the weather that probably explains much if not all of it, but I'm wondering if anyone else is feeling it...

That's one of the things you learn about special listing days...
Your 'normal' stuff will just sit, especially while all the bidders are working their tails off LISTING, and again the day after while they crash while recovering from their listing binges.
Things usually pick up a bit toward the end of the 7 day listing period when folks anticipate having some cash in the till soon...

Interesting...I wasn't too worried, since normally the books at least sell at a fairly good pace, even when I've only had time to list a couple each day. Business died over the holiday weekend, which I had expected, and probably some people who got paid on the 12th blew it all over the three day weekend, and then there was the storm(s) knocking out power and such, but hadn't thought about maybe they were so busy listing, they weren't buying. I had assumed most of my buyers weren't sellers as well, but it'd be interesting to see what the mix is.
I don't buy a whole lot on Ebay, since all my spare cash is going for resale merchandise, but you're right, was up til 1 in the morning Wednesday night listing merchandise, and was listing stuff up until 5 minutes til midnight last night, then continued editting entries until 1am, so I'm probably not the only one.
