New ebay extension for firefox users... testers wanted

Question
Hi. I created this extension for myself a couple years ago to navigate ebay.
I just updated it to share and want to know what others think. Any bug reports or ideas are welcome.
I've been reading here forums for a long time but finally registered. I wanted to see what you think before I share it at firefox addons.
Download it here:

To install, just save it to your desktop and drag it into your firefox browser.
If anyone knows a better place to host the file let me know.

Answer
ummmm....
1) I depend on my computer for business so I'm not really interested in testing software although I HAVE tested software back in one of my RJobs...
2) Would you like to share something about what this extension does? How it might be useful? I can't think of anything I want Firefox to be running in the background in connection with ebay... but perhaps you can convince me that it would be worth my time to consider. However, you haven't made a case for that yet.

However, you haven't made a case for that yet. I shoulda explained it better. It doesn't run any program or anything in the background so its not a security risk at all what so ever. It simply adds a site map of ebay to your context menu as seen in the picture. You do not log in using it and it dose not record info or anything like that. It is just mainly a collection of links in a form of easy access. I use it for finding the category I want to sell in and fast advanced search options and links to other sites like ups, usps, fedex tracking and html tools, etc. I don't blame you for being concerned as I use my PC for business also. Thanks for the reply. I also added toolhaus.org searches if you are familiar with the site.

Answer
Thanks for the reply. I am very interested in an add-on tool that helps with ebay stuff. However, I am very used to (read that "comfortable") with the set of tools that I currently use and without clicking on a link to go elsewhere, I didn't have any information to base a decision on... and still very little. And I like cool tools.

Perhaps you could put pictures of the "features" here as attachments/thumbnails. They sound interesting.
Thanks, gw4m

Answer
Hi Nikki, it passed all my crapcatchers (no offense) and I've used it a couple times. I do a lot of searching and it will save me several clicks! I really like how when I click "Search Stores Only" a little box pops right up. No trying to find the darn Stores search on eBay. For that reason alone I like it so far.

Answer
I'm not sure, I might be overcautious...
but you might want to consider a different name. Without the "eBay" part.
No sense in baiting their lawyers...
Or advertising for them.
On the other hand, you do need to figure out a way to say it's an eBay helper tool...

Answer
Here's what I got when I downloaded and Windows didn't know how to open the file...
Windows has the following information about this file type. This page will help you find software needed to open your file.
File Type: Unknown
Description: Windows does not recognize this file type.
The following Web sites have a comprehensive list of file extensions. You might be able to find information about this file type there:
* FILExt Okay, so how do you put in a Firefox extension?

Answer
GW, when I did it, I double-clicked the file and Windows didn't recognize it. It then gave me the option to open it with a certain program and gave me a list. I then clicked Firefox. I wish I could remember the exact steps, but somehow you need to get to where you can make that selection. I never saw the info you got.
Sorry I'm not much more help! When you do get it installed, all you have to do is right-click and select eBay Buddy, right on top.

Answer
I don't use FF, but from the OP ...

Answer
Yeah,
you're right. She did say that (about dragging it from the desktop.) And I promptly forgot it.
I managed to do what DareMe did and then after I reopened Firefox I wondered where in the world it had gone.
Then I right-clicked on something else and shocked myself when it showed up at the top of the list. lol
Clicking on the MyEbay link opened a new tab automatically - which is exactly what I would have told it to do, if I'd been asked.
So far, so good....
