Question
I note that on my PayPal payments "Postage Insurance" has been replaced by "Postage Compensation (not offered)" under "Postage & Packing via Standard Delivery"...
I have "Shipping Discount" ticked on my auctions, and some buyers do use the discounts field to correct the postage on multiple purchases.
I seem to have missed the memo, but what does "Postage Compensation" represent in the world of PayPal? Will I need to enable it to allow buyers to combine postage from now on?
Uncertain, Kevin
Answer
"Postage Compensation" is an odd term. My first thought was that they were referring to refunding postage in the event of a return. Clearly not.
Wish I could help, but I'm still not taking PayPal, so am happily ignorant of these things.
Answer
I have never heard of it. Sorry. Paypal/ebay making changes again. More glitches to come.
Answer
Oh Toke,
How I long for the days of being "happily ignorant".... now I am just ignorant I guess.
Cheers, Kevin
Answer
While I still do not know what "Postage Compensation" is, I did have a buyer pay this afternoon using "Seller Discounts (-) or Charges (+)" to adjust their postage total on a multiple purchase, so I assume I can just ignore it...
Kind Regards, Kevin
