Question
In a auction it say's
Payment accepted will be only from PayPal (no credit cards)
USPS money order is ok.
does this mean you cannot use your credit card through paypal to pay? How do they know if you did use your credit card? I have never seen anything that tells me if someone used a credit card to pay thru paypal. Maybe I should look elsewhere for my item.
Answer
It's been so long sice I read it that I may be wrong, but I believe that if you only have a "personal" account with PayPal, you're limited as to how much you can receive in c/c payments. Or it may be that you get charged extra for them. But it's something like that. If you've got a "business" account, then it doesn't matter.
Also though, some people don't want c/c payments because of charge-backs.
I take anything as long as it cashes/spends in the USA.
Answer
Personal accounts cannot receive cc payments at all.
Answer
I have never run into this before and wondered why.
thanks for the info.
Answer
If that's in their auction they can get shut down. And they say payment only from paypal, but then say money orders are ok-well, which is it?
Payment accepted will be only from PayPal (no credit cards)
USPS money order is ok.
Answer
You're not allowed to limit Paypal by payment funding source anymore - reporting them should get them a warning or auctions pulled.
Answer
I think you are misreading it. Although poorly stated, I think that seller is trying to say that they only accept credit cards through paypal and do not process credit cards through a merchants account. Plus they accept money orders
Answer
they only accept credit cards through paypal
This is what I was wondering as I would want to use credit card through paypal.
I was afraid they don't want the cc because of chargebacks and that made me think they might not be on the up and up.
