eBay's new MY WORLD pages and this site

Question
I wonder who is going to sue who on this one.

I saw a preview on this show today on Bravo.

Answer
A glorified MyeBay page, huh? Hmmm... I like it, but who knows where it will lead. Hope they let us link to our stores.

Nothing glorified about it. No HTML or active links (except the ones THEY put in which lead to other sellers) allowed.
It's all about natural search and all roads lead to Ebay.

And I'm sure, of course, no links to your own web site allowed. I wonder how long until the original "about me" page is gone...

Answer
I don't know. Check my page.

Of course they won't make it clickable, but for the first time I can mention my store with a URL.

Answer
Why don't you just put a clickable link to your website on your Me page? That's ebay legal unless they've recently changed it.

I do have a clickable link on my About Me page, but it only goes to my front page. Being allowed to create two headings and place the text of a link to my site AND my store in them, well, I consider that a change from the past. Maybe they will nuke both of them, but that's up to eBay.
I have always believed that people are sharp enough to garner the url from my auction photos, anyway, since most of my buyers seem to be above average. It's not unusual to hear from people who found my store that way.

Your buyers probably are more sophisticated in a lot of ways. My buyers often have trouble answering a simple email. Right click, properties, highlight a URL would be way beyond a lot of my buyers. (By the way- I'm not insulting anybody's intelligence, they just have other priorities in their lives and very few of them spend a lot of time on the computer.)
