Question
Story
Fifty-three percent of respondents to a recent AuctionBytes reader survey said they sell on classified sites. The big difference between eBay and online classified sites is the latter is completely free. No listing fees, no final value fees, no listing upgrade fees, free pictures, and no limited duration
We have been looking at online classified's. These seems like the ideal thing to add for the upcoming Christmas selling season. Anyone had any experience selling this way?
Answer

I'm not sure, I think this all has something to do with another thread, but I think we may be better off remaining in ignorance...

We sold a motorcycle & advertised a garage sale through craigslist.org a couple of years ago, and I was quite pleased with the set-up AND the response. Very positive experience for the most part, and the service is free (except for a few categories like job openings). They are sensitive to email address harvesters and provide a one-shot anonymous email address if you wish. It's a great option for those parts of the country where it's pretty well established.

LOL And here I thought you didn't like wasting your valuable time. How could I have been so mistaken. I am officially declaring a senior moment. I can do this you know, because I am now a AARP Member as of a few months ago.
Coming clean like that is so uplifiting.
Answer
It's not every day someone singles me out in a thread title. I feel elevated in your thoughts, man, it's touching. Really. Too bad your thread is about nothing else.
Answer
long before ebay when I lived in S Cal there was a weekly magizine that was .75 it allowed up to 6 free ads per week . I think it was called the pennysaver
I did very well with it . ran 6 ads every week , when we moved here the costs of classified ads where too high for me to try it
we just got a local craigs list a few weeks ago and Ive been planning to try it again
