Credit For Stores To Core Insertion Fee Promo (8/14/2006) - 9952 140019238476 Insertion Fee -$1.10 $22.81

Answer
amusing. They still right it off as a tax break were if the seller reciving this reports it properly it is income. Still as sneeky as ever.

Answer
I received mine as well but I'm a bit irked about something - I noticed I was charged for using Listing Designer several times. I never, ever use TL's Listing Designer and I'm wondering how all those entries got there? If the defaults were changed, then that's a bit sneaky I think. I wrote to 'Billing' but haven't heard back yet. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Answer
Not the Listing Designer, but during another of the promos, I was charged with using Bold on auctions. It took awhile, but I got them to see the light that I would not be paying for bold since I never use it, and if I had used it, it would certainly be on something that was worth bolding. They refunded.

If you submitted from TL2 it is automatically turned on unless you uncheck the block to the left in the description. It adds it now even if you have "none" and "standard" selected. In TL1 it could be checked and if you also had "none" and "standard" it didn't submit it for a fee.

That's plain sleazy. This has been going on for quite awhile, so if eBay wanted it to default to unchecked, they would have by now. The only explanation why they haven't is pure greed by tricking sellers out of their money.
I'm still on TL1 and won't switch until I have to, so thanks for that tip, Laura. I'll be using that "Calculate Fees" button more, that's for sure!

I had read about it happening before I downloaded TL2 so I decided to turn on the calculate fee thing for awhile until I was comfortable with TL2 loads. Sure enough I forgot about the Listing Designer thing but caught it when I did the calculate fee thing and noticed it was "out of line". So that's a good idea.
