Take a look at this and then convince me that ebay isn't "choking down" the searches and then escalating them. This is WAY NOT normal for the pottery/glass category. Someone somewhere called them rolling blackouts.

Normally the blue line runs almost straight across at 60%. The auction line normally runs right around 40%.

If you click on the previous months' results, the blue line is just as jagged as July. I don't see a month with a straight 60%? Some months the BIN sellthrough has dropped to almost zero. What am I missing?

Hmmm. I just went back thru 2006 and 2005. When I have looked at the medved stats in the past, the numbers were as I posted above. NOW when I look at them for the last yr and a half, they're all jagged as you mentioned. I don't know what to think.
So I guess we just ignore this and go on. The stats aren't showing up the same as when I saw them before so it seems everything is whacked out.
