Has it hit you yet? Looks like I'm there, the past week was really slow and this week doesn't show any signs of improving so far. Time to concentrate on other ventures and cut way back on my listings until August or so.

A BIG Yes!! The last two weeks have been soooo bad! Before that things were doing reasonably well.

Sellthrough down a bit but I wouldn't call it a slump, that sounds way too depressing. Creative marketing is so important during the summer when people are looking to entertain themselves. Tomorrow is my Freaky Friday, where I list things that are not exactly usual: big bags of sterling silver CZ studs, glass beads, loose cut stones, etc. all starting at 99 cents. Plus anything else I find lying around. Last Freaky Friday I listed an obscure ivorine plaque and it's up to three times what I expected to get.

Yes, It's bad. I had up an item that should have fetched 30 to 35 bucks easy in still sealed new condition. It went for 9.99.
I did have other things hit $90 and $100, so I kind of made up for it.
What is hurting income is that I am not listing my very finest things (want to wait for the right busy season), and then it being slow. I'm not making much cash at the moment. But I am not about to give away my hot items in the middle of the summer slump.

eBay is D-E-A-D for me. I have an eBay store and they have buried them with the advent of Express.
I did just get another large sale on my web site . I couldn't be more pleased and amazed. They paid with credit card so it's another chunk of change that eBay did NOT get. YAY. I am scrambling to stock up. I am putting all new stuff on my site. Kim

Last week was fair to reasonable after two very strong weeks, and this week was also very strong for me. Whilst I took almost two months off over April/May, it has been a very good year for me so far this year.

It's a little odd. I'm piecing out a large set of a popular china pattern with earlier marks...all 50 to 60 years old. Last week was like pulling teeth, but most of it sold eventually at 'ok' prices. Almost all my bids came on Sunday evening. I did 7 day auctions (as I almost always do), ending on Sunday night.
This week I'm doing 5 day auctions of the same stuff, also ending on Sunday night. I've got all kinds of bids already...some at great prices. I wonder if it's just a fluke or if people prefer the shorter 5 day auctions?

No Ebay slump for me. I got out.
It is just so much more pleasant working on my website and I was making so little on Ebay lately that I didn't have much to lose by getting out.
