Question
Is being "Confirmed" and being "Verified" the same thing on paypal??
I have had my paypal account for quite a few years and now most will only sell if you are "confirmed".
I have a credit card on file at paypal for when I purchase certain items but I do not have my bank account listed there. It looks like I need to have a bank account on file to be confirmed but I'm not sure I like giving them my bank numbers.
Answer
The "confirmed" is for the address.
Answer
About 99% of the time, "Confirmed" or more precisely, "Confirmed Address" means that you've added a credit card to your account, and your paypal shipping address matches your credit card address. There are other methods to "confirm" an address, but this is usually the case.
About 99% of the time, "Verified" means that you've added a bank account. For personal account (non-business and non-corporate) you MUST add the bank account to become verified. Business can submit "substantial business data" to become "verifed" without an attached bank account.
