Question
Hi all...I list almost 1000 items per month and have been using timbercreek software's sold V for the past 3 years or so..well suddenly they went bye bye wihtout any notice basically so I'm looking for a new one...I figure desktop based would be best for me because I have so much inventory...I've heard things about auction wizard 2000, auction sage, e seller pro..any body with opinions on there with any that would be good to go with? i want something that will be around for a long time! thanks!
Answer
I use auctionsage. it is desktop based. it has an inventory database so you create the listings and then post from there. can easily change from auction to fixed price etc. can see at a glance what items are listed and how many and what aren't. can mass edit the inventory database and can mass edit some things for items currently listed. is working on an API version so it will run faster and do some other things. 30 day free trial.
turbo lister is very similar and free but it does not have an inventory database so it is hard to tell what is listed from your inventory and what isn't. it also doesn't have after auction management but I have a store and can do that with SM if I didn't have AS (and kind of used both so they are in synch).
over the last 2 to 3 months I have tried about all of the free trials out there in trying to find something better (I have a few issues). I am still using AS because for my needs (and on dialup) it is the best out there.
Answer
I use AuctionSage for auction management only...I don't use it as a lister. I am completely satisfied with it. AND, believe me, John has the very best customer service out there.
