Question
I did a search and found some old threads about Prestostores, but I was wondering if anyone has had any new experiences with it? I've used an Ebay store for a year now, But the $1700 I paid Ebay could roughly come out to $360 on Prostores. Any opinions?
Answer
They have a 10 day free trial. It doesn't let you use the shopping cart but you can get an idea if it will work for you or not. I just started my 10 day trial today, so I am not too familiar with it.

I clicked your link to your ebay store and ebay says your ID doesn't exist. Tried a manual search and they say you don't exist either.

I tried a Prestostore for about 3 months and wasn't too impressed with it. I had a total of 3 sales which did not pay for the monthly fee.
The issue I had with them was the marketing/SEO. I worked hard on my keywords and title and all but it seems like Prestostore.com was marketing themselves more than the individual stores. Perhaps If I had been willing to also add the cost of Adwords or one of the other keyword programs, I'd have done better. But it wasn't something I could afford to do.
On the upside, it was easy to use and to add items to your inventory and the cost wasn't bad, if there had been sales.
By the way......I had a pretty store and was very pleased with the way it looked. I found I could modify it to my own tastes.

On the other hand, I've had an eBay store since practically the beginning and it pays for itself with profit. Not huge profit, but still profit.
I don't run auctions at this time. I generally have no more than 6 fixed price listings going at one time (usually 3 or 4) and do use the $.10 listing days to put up maybe 30 FP listings. In the near future I plan to run more auctual auctions and FP listings to see what happens.
I Googled my store name the other day, PK's Collection was all I used, and it came up number 1!! Woo Hooo
I'm sticking with the ebay store till I can build my own website. I have 3 domain names registered for that purpose, just haven't done anything much with them yet, other than using one (e-Decorstore.com) for the Prestostore

Answer
cornhole? pretty vulgar name.
Myself, I wouldn't buy shit (no pun intended) off a kid who would call his shop the cornholestore, not on presto, ebay or anywhere else. Even if I needed it.

The name "cornhole" isn't really vulgar at all...it's a bean bag game...family fun and all that jazz!
