Question
Maybe I am wrong to use the PayPal receipt of payment to address parcels to buyers, but for the last couple of days the format of the addresses (which I would have thought was very important for PayPal "protection" ) has been thrown out of kilter with one to two words per line, and no commas to be sure where the correct line began and finished.
With address styles that I am familiar with this is no problem, but on a day when I have sold a heap into Europe where formats vary with the country, this is really making the exercise difficult. Thankfully the Ebay EOA's are still including correct address formats, so provided both addresses are the same (so far they have been) I can use the Ebay EOA for confirmation.
Is anybody else experiencing this, or is it happening in the way my computer is receiving the email? If so, is PayPal likely to fix this or just consider it unimportant? Does sending an unformatted "confirmed address" negate the status of confirmed address?

Hi Keven,
I don't use the paypal emails for addressing, so I can't attest to what you're witnessing. I actually go into our account and go to the individual payments... the format there seems to be OK.

Kevin, I have not had this problem, however I am not consistently getting emails about payments and/or refunds from Pay Pal (no they aren't in my spam filters either) so there is something awry at Pay Pal (more so than usual of course)!
I know what you mean about problems with address formatting...when it is incorrect it can be such a headache. Hope this clears up for your soon!

Yep my emails look like crap different lines for addresses etc city state even the name, but when I print postage all is fine and I print through Paypal.
A while back I wrote a complaint to Paypal about the details page posting in the final cost part the showing of Signature confirmation as always showing up at $1.35 even though not choosen as an option and not added into final cost.... They said they would look into it and as of this week I see that it is no longer shows up in every detail page as service BUT now they show Insurance fee as FREE now how stupid is that. I don't even choose insurance on all packages and it shows up as free in details page. They swapped one goof for another. If you do get insurance it shows up at right price but not choosing insurance it shows up as free so in my opinion they are saying I insured the package and got it for free but I know it would not work like that. DIP STICKS!
I also told them that at one time after printing postage it use to show the shipping details just right and that now you have to go back to Account page and click details to get the information to copy and add to a list to take to post office so they can see what you transacted cost wise etc--at least at my post office they like to have it- another PITA
Sorry for my rantings I am just tired of the powers that be goofing. If we goof they squash us.

Haven't noticed anything out of whack, but of course that is always subject to change.
I think with PayPal you can actually call someone although whether they would be able to actually help is another matter.
Probably wouldn't hurt to bring it to their attention though.

My Paypal email was screwed up as well. The auction closed Weds. for a concert ticket on Saturday, and I needed to send the item overnight.
Not only was the town broken up into two lines, making me think that it was a 3rd address line. They also gave me a street address and a PO Box (making the second address line). It was extremely confusing, and I had to email the buyer to get address verification, because I was sending the ticket by DHL and could not use the PO Box number. The buyer ended up ignoring my email, requesting my contact information, and calling to verify the address, as well as see about possible pick-up, because the whole Paypal mess probably made him think I was slightly incompetent.
