Question
It was just brought to my attention that 300 or so items have mysteriously been placed in our eBay store's "other" category.
Can't hardly wait to start editing.
I just love wasting my time on eBay's screw ups. If I only had a dime every time they....
I truly don't believe our store will last more than two more years... things like this add up very quickly.......

Are they copies of your items? Or are they someone else's items?
Good grief.
Answer
It's our stuff... one thing to be thankful for, I suppose.
I do believe this is one of the glitches from the 300+ category roll out.
Ebay could screw up a sunrise.... yes, I'm being polite!
Answer
Are you sure it's a glitch?
Have you been creating subcategories? If so, everything in the category that you created subcategories for is moved to the Other category. Then you have to do a bulk Edit and get the items into the correct categories.
I don't know why eBay wrote the code that way.
I also think the code is awkward for moving items to the appropriate category.
Answer
Yeap... most certainly a glitch.
We haven't touched the categories... we've only just hinted about expanding them after they introduced the subcategories, but we don't really have enough inventory to warrant it.
We're down to just under 200 in the "other" category... but a few will stay there, around a dozen or so if I remember right.
Have a look

I feel for ya. I am slowly and painfully working through our auctions to edit $3.85 priority mail to $4.05. Yes, I know, I could change to letting them calculate but then people get the notice about how many days it will take which is just ridiculous. Maryanne
Answer
It's a glitch. I discovered almost 300 books in my other category not long ago. Thankfully, I was able to just refresh in AOB and it put them back in the correct place.
