Yup, Likearock, you do need to do the math.
Listing fees are a lot less for eBay Stores items but Final Value Fees are a lot higher. For example,
Final Value Fees for item sold for $25:
- listed in your eBay Store: 8.00%
- listed as auction-style or fixed price listing: 5.25%
You pay 69 cents more in final value fees if the item was listed in your store.

Last 10c day I sold something for $500 so that made me happy. The high offer I got for it in my store was $150. Tomorrow I'm going to try and list around $3k worth of artwork, plus 18 fixed prices with a quantity of 100 items each so I hope to save a bunch, and if nuthin sells then it only cost about 3 bucks. The fixed price listings still get more attention than store items for me.
So, anyway, I'm still a fan.

I'm with likearock, those fixed price listing days always bomb for me. And I've DONE the math, every time. With Gallery and the pitiful sales, I've ended up paying more in listing fees than what I made in sales for the last three I've done.
No thanks. But I do so love to shop on those days, and snatch up the newly listed bargains from people who don't know what they have.

Last .10 fixed listing day in February led to my best month in over 3 yrs...so I am "making hay while the sun shines" but then I had to stop in at here for a minute!!!

Fixed price works well for "new" items, I find
however, it is luke warm for used collectibles and er... ah... junk. IMO
and luke warm doesn't warrent any time investment from me.
