Bidpay may be back - new owners have big plans...

Question
Link to an article that I recently read about the state of affairs with Bidpay:
http://sanjose.bizjournals.com/sanjo...6/daily24.html
I sure hope they do come back. Lots of customers paid this way. I hope they put in website payment options as well auction payments.

Answer
This has to be the reason eBay has been closing auctions with BidPay in them. It seemed pointless to do that, since BidPay was out of business and no threat to them at all, but NOW...
EBay clearly knew this was coming. Betcha BidPay won't be an approved payment method any more. Nope. Don't think so.

Answer
Well, if anyone has a better suggestion other than Pay Pal for International buyers, I'm listening...
I'm tired of getting burned by the untrackables on Pay Pal. I swear I'm going to U-Pic and request insurance on all Internationals. Another $30.00 down the drain today. I even lose on the shipping despite I have records of the shipping costs. Now, that's a burn that Pay Pal really doesn't have a right to steal money from sellers.

I was about to tell you all about the relaunch, which I found at http://www.bidpay.com/news_and_event...l?page_id=1474, but found the news had already been posted. We will soon find out if ebay is really just trying to squelch a rival!

Answer
Well, I have mixed feelings about this. It was a real bummer to see them go and I'm somewhat glad to see them back as an option and as the small speck of competition that they were to paypal. But, they've been such aroller coaster ride it'll be hard to put any faith in them....again.
First, I added verbage in my terms to offer them and put their logo in my templates. Then ebay put restrictions on third party logo sizes, so I change all my templates to suit. Then they change their name to the ridiculously long "western union auction payments".Okay, I go in and change all my templates again, and append my terms to use the new name where it is mentioned. Then they change their name back to bidpay and use a new logo. Ummmm, okay, Once again I change my templates to use the new logo and re-append my terms to suit. Then they go out of business, this time I remove the logo and re-word my terms to exclude them as an option, but at least I won't have to deal with it anymore, right, so I also delete the logos and verbage from my hard drive. Now they're back?? Sometimes it's just too late to resurrect something that got to be a PIA the first time. I'll be glad though to offer items internationally again, which would be the only real reason for me to pick it up again.
I sure hope they address the cost issue, which was the number one complaint about them from my domestic customers (and a few international ones as well). The second complaint, BTW, was customers having trouble getting verification to use them.

Answer
It would appear that the new owner has sufficient resources to mount a successful restraint of trade suit if Ebay does not allow them on the site.

Answer
No matter who owns BidPay now or what their intentions are regarding eBay, they need to significantly lower the barriers to buyers or we're all wasting our breath.

Answer
they ain't going back in my auciotns
we have spent every spare moment in the last two weeks editting all of our ads by hand....all 1500 of them
still not done

nope, Bidpay can kiss my butt, they are not getting any advertising in my ads, nor is anyone else.
cleaning up these ads is too time consuming.

Answer
Why bother? A title and description search turns up 4,640,300 with Bidpay still in them. It's probably physically impossible for them to shut all those down.

Answer
why bother?
I run on Murphy's law...
If it can go wrong
it will go wrong
and it will be me that gets screwed
I am not having all my auctions killed because of Bidpay showing on them,
