Question
Anyone know what IBAN BIC means?
"HELLO I FRENCH ACCEPT YOU PAYEMENT IBAN BIC "
Thanks,
Nancy
Answer
Found this through Google.
What you should know about IBAN and BIC.
Answer
She is wanting to pay directly into your bank account (and appears to be having language difficulties).
I am in Australia. It can be fine, but personally I have had a payment take 3 weeks to turn up in the account from Europe (through no fault of the buyer), and personally won't accept direct deposits from overseas again.
Other peoples mileage is different.
Kind Regards, Kevin

Nancy,
Most European (like their Australian counterparts) are used to free bank transfers. In Europe you can often send payments to other EU countries free of cost if you use BIC + IBAN.
Is NOT free when sending funds outside EU/EEA...
Ask your French buyer to pay you by bank check in Australian dollars drawn on Australian bank (so you don't pay any fees). That's if you're an Australian? YMMV
Answer
Post Script: I only mentioned that I am Australian because I assumed that the original poster was not, and that would mean that my information may be irrelevant.
Further to Agitprop's post, the two bank transfers that I received from Europe (to Australia) did not incur any fees to me at all. One just took 3 weeks to appear in the account, and it made for an awkward transaction. I would personally not do it again for that reason, but appreciate that other people have had no hassles.
Kind Regards, Kevin

I won't deal with someone I cannot speak with. I've got a neg because the buyer did not understand English and bid on my auctions then wanted to pay a way I didn't accept.

I personally would bend over backwards to communicate with anyone who is serious about buying. No doubt they are better able to read and understand English than I am able to understand their language, whatever it is... I would however insist on being paid in US dollars one way or the other... There are probably only a couple countries in the world where citizens can't come up with US dollar bills... (and I'll bet they could in those too, if pressed)

I felt like that, too until this french bidder cussed me out and would not pay for an auction then gave me a neg because she could not understand English. I've still got bidders who have a language problem, but not to the extent they cannot and will not understand English. She REFUSED to pay and because SHE wouldn't pay in a way that was stated in my auctions and I reported her, she gave me a neg she's the ONLY international bidder I've ever had that could not and would not try to read.

I'd say your bidder refused to follow directions. I'm guessing she just used the "I don't speak English" as an excuse to try to get her own way. I'd be angry with her too, if I were you.
The way I read the original post is that the French person was asking if the seller would consider accepting the type of payment he/she mentioned: "ACCEPT YOU PAYEMENT IBAN BIC" This would be a pretty common syntax for a question in French or Spanish, etc, I think.
Hope the original poster will come back and let up know how it all turned out...
