What is it? It's a 10 cent Listing Day PLUS 50% off Gallery for Canadians! Insertion fees for Auction-Style and Fixed Price listings will be reduced to 10 cents after credit and the fees for Gallery will be 50% off. Please note the discounted fees will not be immediately reflected on the site. You will see a credit to your seller's account by March 27, 2006.
When is it? It all starts Monday, February 13, 2006 at 00:00:01 EST (12:00 AM plus one second on February 13, 2006) and ends that same day Monday, February 13, 2006 23:59:59 EST (11:59 PM plus 59 seconds).
Who is included? All Canadian resident users who list their items on eBay.ca, eBay.com or eBay Motors will be eligible for the promotion. Listings created prior to the promotion and scheduled to start during the promotional period of February 13, 2006 will be eligible for the promotional fee. Items that are re-listed that match the above eligibility will qualify for the promotion. Items listed in two categories will receive the promotional fee for each item. Canadian residents who registered on other eBay sites will still be eligible, provided your registered address is Canadian.
What is excluded? Motors vehicles, Business and Industrial Capital Equipment, Store Inventory Format and Real Estate Ad Format listings will not be included in this promotion. The promotional rate does not apply to listings created prior to the promotional period and later revised during the promotional period. The promotional rate does not apply to listings created during the promotion February 13, 2006, but scheduled to start after the promotion ends.
Answer
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
10 cent listings AND 50% off Gallery... Now THAT'S awesome.
Love it.... I have a lot of work to do...
P.S... Now about this registration thing. I've determined that I think when I registered I registered BEFORE eBay.CA was born. It was 1999 (ahhh, remember 1999? ) So I pretty sure I'm set up on eBay.COM but all the fine print just says that you have to be a Canadian resident user and list on eBay.CA or eBay.com... which I do... So I'm eligible, right? It says nothing about having to be registered on eBay.CA... And I haven't been able to figure out how I check this or switch my registration over. Where is it? I've checked everywhere in my account....

Cool! They finally updated the FAQ with my answer!!!

8. I'm a Canadian resident, but I registered on eBay.com...am I eligible?
Yes. Canadian residents will always be eligible for promotions announced by eBay.ca. Some of these promotions will be open to Canadian residents specifically. Other promotions may be open to anyone who uses eBay.ca. Regardless, a Canadian resident who registered on eBay.com before the launch of eBay.ca will always be eligible for Canadian promotions.

Glad that question's answered, I was tired of worrying about that. LOL

Okay, I may be showing my dense side again here (I'm not blonde, I swear!), but did you guys know that if you use the "Print Shipping Label" option in "My eBay" and print your Canada Post label through there, you can get 8% - 9% off your shipping? It works even on eBay.com, it automatically takes you to Canada Post. Unfortunately the discount doesn't include Small Packet, which is what I use the most, but I had a Canadian buyer on Wednesday I had to ship for and normally it would be $9.00 and I got like $1.00 off by doing it online with this eBay discount. The other major bonus is if it fits in a mailbox you can drop it in any mailbox and no waiting in line! I haven't done a USA package yet but it says all the customs forms are on there too and it all prints out on the label. The Canada Post website says this eBay affiliation is new, but I don't know how long this has been on there, but I didn't know about it...
I wonder if the post office will let me just leave larger packages on the desk without waiting in line if it's all ready to go?
It's really easy I'm lovin' it...
Debra
Answer
So you think the USA will have one this coming week?
I was all excited until I saw the .ca in the title

Hi Debra:
If you have the Venture One card with Canada Post, you also get those discounts at the post office.
Is the small packets working now? I went to use it on Paypal a week or so ago and it wouldn't work for small packets. I called paypal and they said there was a glitch and would get it fixed. I'll have to try a couple and see tomorrow.

The info page said that Small Packet service is not eligible for the discounts...
