Had some problems with them. The display label did not work. Is there any way to retrieve it without resubmitting for another label? Is is save somewhere on my hard drive?

Yes, its saved in .pdf format on your hard drive.. the file name is something like SA****.pdf... I think.
I believe it also saves all previously created labels as well, under different names..
I haven't had to look recently, but I have had to shift computers to print before and it was a lifesaver to have it retrievable.

Yes shipping assistant is "free".
Shipping Assistant gives the shipper proper legible labels, with validated address's in post office speak. This for a service we pay for. It saves the post office money if we use it because our package can go through automated systems with no hickups, and minimal incorrect address's.
So from a business since, it is an advantage to the post office to make the software "the best it can be".
While I think it is "good" it could be better. They should look at UPS worldship, and learn a few lessons. Worldship is "free" also.

Only if you subscribe to their pick-up service rates. The "other" account type are not allowed to use WorldShip.
