Auction Submit or Easy Auction???

Question
I have been reading through the old postings, but still not sure which way to go.
I use Channeladvisor for photo hosting and love their after sale invoicing system. But, wading through the pages to make an ad takes forever and I can only do 10 or so an hour.
I want to list 100 items a day. (I now run 200 a week).
Does anyone use Auction Submit or Easy Auction and run that many new items. I sell postcards so all are unique.
I'm currently listing with Vendio and doing after sale emails etc with Channel advisor but Vendio is getting way to expensive at the number of listings and FVF.
What do you think? I read there has been problems with auction submit updates, and I also read Easy Auction was not current. What do you all think? I don't want to get several thousand ads sitting in unsold only to lose them all or not be able to relist in a couple of months.

HI
I been using auctionsubmit for about 4.5 yrs now. I still like it http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_smile.gif
Every once in awhile, ebay will change the code and AS might not be working for a day or a few days. It sits on your machine and one does not have to be connected to the internet to work in it. You do have to be, to view the pictures though. I did use it last year to put up over 500 auctions on FLD. It's a free program.
All you would have to do is make the first auction it it, preview, and then if you liked that one, make a duplicate of it, and then edit what you need to , to keep that one as your master copy. Then hit duplicate as many times as you want on that master. Then you just change a few lines, and your pic number, and keep going. Then when you want to put them up, they are there waiting for you. I put a lot of similiar items up back to back when I am listing. It's as fast as you can type or work it. Type auction, preview, save, then grab the next one, and go again.
Easy auction I don't know anything about.
How about the turbo lister ?
I had it on here several times, but the downloads became a real PITA, because of my dial up speed.
I did not like was when the auctions ended, you did not have sold and unsold items sorted automatically into folders like auctionsubmit does when you hit update after the auctions end. And I could not find the uninstall the program, so I had to drag the whole folder into the recycle bin, to get rid of it, the last time I had it on here http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_frown.gif

AuctionSage is what I use for post-sale management. I have been using Vendio for picture hosting and listing for quite some time but am also looking for a cheaper alternative.
Since I have my own website that I can host pictures on (and am paying for anyway), I am thinking of using AuctionSage's posting program starting the first of the year. I have two current auctions that I posted with AS and realize there will be a small learning curve, I think I can save a little money that way.

EAsy Auction is current on the auction part. They update things ASAP when ebay is messing around. I've been using it since 1999. Thats how I found here they used to have a message board on here.
I stressed auction part since they don't advertise they're set up for stores. It still needs tweaking.
Everything is on a data base with great search capabilites so you can easily find an old auction you want to copy/paste etc to the new. They also have templates so you can set up one style of auction you like & always use that. I screamed for the templates & now I don't use them because I have a workaround system I like.
Best of all, if you have multiple winners they easily combine the auctions into one notice.
If you try it & need any help feel free to hollar.
Their customer service is great.

Toyhunter: I loved Mr. Lister but didn't care for the multi page format of Turbo Lister.
Also, I lost my cipher strength during a microsoft update (they even take responsibility for causing it but won't fix it). I have Windows XP and seems the only "fix" is reformatting my hard drive and I'm not willing to give up everything I have on it just yet. I can access other secure sites using Netscape but Turbo only works on IE so I can't use it on my desktop. The laptop works but I didn't like the paging system.
Also, I liked the sold/unsold format of auction submit.
Cheryl: Does Easy Auction have a sold/unsold file system for closed auctions? I don't remember. I glanced through both last night and then decided to get pros and cons from you guys before deciding on which to try.
Until now, I have just played around with Ebay listing when I wanted and then tossing out relists. This coming year I am setting up a schedule for listing and going to try and make it a business venture with profithttp://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_smile.gif Unfortunately, too many others want to profit to and after Ebay fees, Paypal fees, Auction service fees and cost of product it costs me $1.80 just to sell one postcard. I don't know how the people who list them for $1.95 do it? Do they ever look to see what it is costing them?
Anyway, that is another topic altogether. On this one, I need to be able to list fast and Channel Advisor just doesn't work for thathttp://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_frown.gif

Answer
lindajean,
about losing your cypher strength, do you have a windows update disk for that os?
The reason I am asking: My desktop is 98se and is a compaq with a restore disk. I once had a program screw something in windows up so badly I was told the only thing I could do was reformat and reinstall windows. As a last desperate attempt to avoid that, I bought the 98 windows update disk. 45 minutes later I was up and running on the internet again, all it did was reinstall windows, not erase my hd.
That disk has saved my butt many many times since then and worth the $90 that I paid for it.
I don't know anything about auction submit or easy auction, I do use sold! which also has a scheduling feature when listing so you can by pass ebays 10 cent fee. they have a free trial period. Regarding the post above about aucitonsage, I also tried them before buying sold! and if they had had the ability to post back then (last summer) I would have bought it instead, I liked the program much better. sold! is getting ready to come out with an entirely new program not just an update but I don't know what all they will be adding.
100 a day! wow, my items are all unique and I am lucky right at the moment to do 25 a day. I need broadband http://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_frown.gif

Okay, I just timed myself putting auctions into auctionsubmit.
44 auctions in 40 minutes, all with pictures.
Now before you say, yeah right....
These were all books by the same author. Last night I took the pictures, loaded them up to imageevnt which costs me $25 a year for 1500 picture storage. Then I went into my email and typed myself a email with each of the pic urls for these auctions, then under each pic url, I typed the book title, author, and condition, weight , and shipping. The rest of my auction terms stay the same and are in table format under this information in the master template.
Then I sent the email off to myself, opened it up and the auctionsubmit program, and all I did was make the master fit these, duplicate if off 44 times, then do a copy and paste from my email for each auction, preview, then save. Repeat....
I learned long ago, if there is a FLD on ebay, that imageevent may be hard to access that day. So I save my pic urls and them do a email to myself. I also do a lot of similiar back to back. I fiqure if we don't get a FLD this month, then these auctions either can go up, or the items can go on my website.

I also have a personal account with paypal, so I don't have to pay fees to move money.

I use Inkfrog for image hosting and auction sage for after auction-both have posting programs, but I still find it much easier to use auction submit to list.
I have a template set up with my basics and just fill in descrption, condition and shipping dollars. everything else is standard.
When I have done things such as postcards all I have to change for each auction are a few words. I place pictures in between my text so I have the basic url saved in the template, so all I have to insert is the pic. name and copy paste the url however many times I want to use it.
Takes very little time-less than the learning curve for me for the other 2 programs I use. Main drawback is you can't pre-schedule, but I've never had update or relisting problems....only thing I can't figure out is how to get in to change the cleargif url so I don't have the blank image at the top-without going in to revise each auction.
It's not a real fancy template, but nice colors, clean and crisp. Best freebie ever, aside from lrfanview. I feel so grateful I send them a donation every once in a while. http://community.here.com/3/ws/emoticons/santa.gif

Mels: No, In their infinite wisdom they put the windows xp on the computers and no disc provided. That is true of my Sony desk top I bought last December and the Toshiba laptop I bought in July. That's why they told me the only fix was reformattinghttp://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_frown.gif
Believe me, I will never ever do a critical update again. I just bought a firewall and will have to trust it to keep me safe.
I have been wondering if I spent the $185 for the Pro upgrade if it would fix the cipher strength during the upgrade. With my luck it would just change the features and leave everything else alonehttp://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_frown.gif
Toyhunter: That sounds exactly like what I am looking for. I spend a couple of days a week taking pics and editing with Irfanview. I save them all on the computer and can easily copy in the necessary url just changing the pic id. I also have everything in short keys and only have to change a line or two for each ad. That's why it drove me crazy waiting and waiting and waiting to go from one page to the next to finish an ad.
Cariad: Thanks for providing more confidence in the auction submit program. Think I will give it a shot tonight. I'll let you know how it goeshttp://community.here.com/infopop/em...icon_smile.gif

For anyone doing 300 or more per month Vendio is still the cheapest bang for the buck. I love their ease of use and the speed with which I can get batches of 400 or more ready.
Andale supposedly can handle large volume but not in my book.
None of the other services can handle very large volume. I've checked them all out and Vendio keeps coming out ahead. You have to pick the service level that works best for you though, and make sure you get that right, or it can get expensive.
