didnt come so I figured seller made a mistake and shipped parcel , ok no big deal .
package came today priority, in a priority box postmarked 12/16 reston VA
received 12/28 sarasota fl

I've had slower Priority packages. I once had a buyer mail a money order to me by Priority (with delivery confirmation) in mid-November that arrived after Christmas. 43 days for a Priority envelope from Colorado to NYC

You should photocopy the top of the package showing the labels and send it to eBay, and tell them what they can do with their "estimated transit times"...

I just looked at the USPS web site, and they were saying December 21st was the deadline for National shipping using Priority to arrive by Christmas.
I'd like to know what they are smoking.
OTOH, a few years ago I shipped a package to California from Ohio on December 22nd. The buyer had it in 2 days, it arrived on Christmas Eve. I thought he was kidding me when he emailed and said he had it that soon.
The 16th was a Friday, there were 2 weekends and 1 holiday between shipping and arrival, which only allows 7 business days. It still should have been plenty of time.

evan better one , I sent a invoice out to a good customer , always prompt payer and he hasnt paid , Ive been going to call him and see what was happening but I havent gotten around to it.
it was returned to me friday as undeliverable I looked at the postmark ,oct 17 so it took from oct 17 untill dec 29 to return the item first class mail (distance 65 miles)

I was the shipper on the package first mentioned in this thread.
Although I didn't hear from MM I did hear from a lot of customers about late delivery of Priority packages.
One had a Nov 30 mailing date received 12/23.
I asked at my PO and they said a number of customers were complaining (well beyond what might be expected with usual Christmas delays)
They checked and were told that new software at the major Priority Mail processing center for our region, at Dulles Airport, had created significant problems including misreading zip codes and sending packages to the wrong locations (like the other side of the country)
That was third or fourth hand information so I don't know the specifics nor whether the same software upgrade effected other regions.
I'm on the East coast (VA) and packages were delivered to CA. in good time but East coast deliveries were delayed a week or more beyond expected delivery time even allowing for Christmas delays.

How's this, thank goodness this was an understanding buyer. I have no idea what this was doing in Minnesota for 8 days but at least the PO was scanning
