Question
I know it has to do with eBay somehow, it was mentioned on a page but nowhere did it say what it was. Anybody know? I've always been rather stupid with acronyms!

ebay now offers an rss feed for ebay stores. look at some of the stores and you'll see a little orange box on the bottom left that says rss. click on it and it will subscribe you to that feed. use a feed reader and it will be updated anytime that seller lists a new item.
I use the opera browser and it has a built in rss feed reader and whenever one of your subscribed feeds is updated, it puts a popup window up about it with the title (in the ebay store instance, the ebay stores name) and then a number in paranthesis denoting how many new feed items. for an ebay store, it will be the number of new items posted to the store. if you were to subscribe to a blog somewhere, it would be the number of new entries to that blog.
