Hello, I shipped out an item on 12/6. As of today, 12/14 the said she has not received the item yet. She didn't choose to pay for insurance. What should I do if she doesn't receive her item? I have never had this happen before. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Phyllis

It's only been 7 working days if you count Saturday. You didn't say what method of shipping was used, and how far it was going. It's too early to worry at this point. Did you purchase Delivery Confirmation? It and Insurance protect you more than the buyer. Was it an expensive or fragile item?

How big was it, what class of shipping did you use, origin, destination, type of label (to USPS specs or just handwritten?) how well packed and readied for machine handling, did you include Delivery Confirmation which just about every seller can tell you has saved their bacon time after time when claims of non-receipt pop up. All these things affect delivery, plus it is holiday time and the postal service is at their busiest.
Sometimes, though, no matter how many precautions you take, things get snarled up. Happens to me very rarely as I generally know more about the postal regs than my local clerks do.
I try to make my shipping procedure "idiot proof".

Let me be clear about such:
Unless the contract cearly states otherwise, and you have prrof of shipping, you the seller are responsible to get the item to the purchaser.
Always use some form of delivery confrimation. If you did not use such and they say they did not get it how can you prove otherwise.
You may be giving a full refund on this one.

Hi, sorry for the delay in getting back here. Well, the item weighed 1 lb, about 5" high unbreakable toy doll, shipped in a usps priority box and with a printed usps label. The item was being shipped to Virginia from upstate N.Y. And no...no delivery confirmation. I haven't heard back from her yet. I sure hopes she gets it. I only listed a few items that day [7] and I surprisingly done well with this toy. You can bet from now on that I will be getting the delivery confirmation.
